Ms. Douglas is an associate attorney with Rubinton || Sims where she uses her knowledge and experience as a civil litigator to help our clients get the results they need. She is admitted to practice in Florida and in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida.

Ms. Douglas has B.A. in Geography and an MBA from Loyola University in Chicago. She attended  Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad College of Law where she earned her JD in 2010.

Ms. Douglas cares deeply about people who, like her, came to the United States to achieve their full potential. She has devoted a considerable amount of her time and energy to volunteer work, including serving as a Guardian Ad Litem for Broward County and mentoring young adults in high school who are trying to get into college. She is most proud of her work with immigrants and children, particularly her work in reuniting parents with their children despite incredibly difficult circumstances.

Ms. Douglas’s background as a lawyer and a volunteer has taught her to face difficult situations head-on with a tenacity few others possess. As a litigator, she is a fierce advocate for her clients while understanding how to deliver results by diffusing the most combative situations. Ms. Douglas has over 10 years of experience as a litigator, handling jury and non-jury trials throughout the state of Florida involving the following matters:

  • Commercial and civil litigation
  • Bankruptcy
  • Immigration

Ms. Douglas has served as an Assistant Public Defender in Broward County and as Assistant Regional Counsel for the Office of Criminal Conflict and Civil Regional Counsel, where she enjoyed helping people who needed it most. Her varied background allows her to bring a depth of experience and unique perspective to the cases she handles with our firm.
